FAQ

Biomass Boiler - How does the fuel get into the boiler?

Log gasification boilers require manual loading through the front and ideally should be designed for one load per day during the peak of winter. Pellet boiler use screw auger systems to feed pellets into the burner although vacuum systems can be used to move pellets from the silo to an intermediary bin next to the boiler if the silo cannot be positioned close. Chip boilers use large augers and agitators which deliver the fuel from the store into the boiler combustion chamber.
