Mr. Williams sought out to entirely renovate his property. His Mid-Wales property was built in the early 1900s and had all the problems of inefficiency that come with older properties. Fuel bills had climbed to an astronomical figure in excess of £5,000pa. Desperate to seek alternatives, Mr. Williams approached Thermal Earth.

It was decided that two 22kW MasterTherm AquaMaster Inverter ground source heat pumps, coupled with a solar thermal array would be the most cost-effective solution. Totalling 44kW in size, the system was completed in August 2015. Mr Williams reported that as well as reducing the fuel bills dramatically, he would also receive in excess of £5,000pa in funding from the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and FIT payments.
