Ground Source Heat Pumps - Is planning permission required?

No, the installation of a ground source heat pump or a water source heat pump on domestic premises is usually considered to be permitted development, not needing an application for planning permission. a GSHP installation is invisible, makes less noise than a gas boiler and issues no gases of any kind on-site.
